Thoughts on digital photography,

Is there a point where photoshopping a photograph degrades the image?
The reason I bring this up is because I often find myself flipping and mirroring images that are mediocre on their own.
This could be done in the darkroom but it would take a lot more time than the 28 seconds I spent copying and flipping this image in P.S. My question to myself is , would I hang this shot along side other images in a show? Along side other photographs that I really work my hardest to make a beautiful print that doesn't shout 'digital'.

My new Macbook arrived yesterday and I can't get off of it.
This is my first laptop and I am loving the mobility, wifi, and not being limited to being in my office.
Yea, this is a pretty exciting subject for my first blog ever.
Hopefully I will figure this out soon.
